What an amazing weekend at Art Rock Festival in Germany. We have so many people to thank, especially our band and crew who were absolutely brilliant, both on and off the stage: Ruud Jolie (guitar), Toby Schwietering (bass), David Sievers (drums) and Asi Furrer (sound).

And of course, a special thank you to Uwe Treitinger for arranging this fantastic socially-distanced festival against all the odds this year, Jens Meinel for looking after us and all the incredible fans for giving us such a warm welcome. Stay safe and we hope to see you all again soon!

We’re really pleased to let you know that we’re now in the advanced stages of producing our third studio album.  When lockdown started in March we had some unexpected time on our hands, the songs just started flowing and before we knew it we found to our surprise that we had a new album almost done.

Richard West: “I think we’ve made something rather beautiful. The sound is a bit more focussed on piano and vocals compared to our last album. I know I’m biased but Farrah’s vocals sound breathtaking! We’re loving it, listening to it every day. We’re really proud of this one!”

The album will be out in 2021 and we can’t wait to share it with you.

We’re really looking forward to performing at Art Rock Festival next month. Joining us on stage will be Ruud Jolie (guitar), Toby Schwietering (bass) and David Sievers (drums). Most of you will know Ruud from Within Temptation, he also performed on our first album in 2011 so it’ll be great to play some of those songs on stage with him.

League of Lights are very pleased to confirm that we’ll be performing at Art Rock Festival 2020 in Reichenbach, Germany on 18 September. Other bands on the bill at the 3-day event include The Animals, Stern Meissen, Chris Slade’s Timeline (ex-AC/DC), Chandelier and Kee Marcello (ex-Europe).

We’re excited to announce our next online festival appearance, we’ll be performing at Fusion: The Next Level on 29 August 2020 where we’ll also be joined for part of our set by our good friend Glynn Morgan (Threshold).

Other bands on the bill including Quill (feat. ELO’s Bev Bevan), District 97, Orpheus 9, Tribe of Names and many more. More details are available at Fusion – Music Without Boundaries.

Here’s a short documentary we made about our song ‘Scarlet Thread’.

It’s a true story of murder in concentration camps, an unbroken bloodline and a recurring dream. It details a little of the life of Laura, who was murdered in Treblinka in the Holocaust and is connected to singer Farrah West by a bloodline of exactly 99 years.

The film was made to ensure that neither Laura nor the history would be forgotten.

Here’s a trailer for our upcoming mini-documentary ‘Scarlet Thread – The Story Behind The Song’.
